DIRECT-TO-GARMENT (DTG)
Direct-to-garment (DTG) printing is a method of printing designs directly onto fabric using
a specialized inkjet printer. The printer applies water-based inks onto the garment in a detailed,
high-resolution image.
TIPS:
• DTG printing works best with premium 100% Combed Ring-Spun Cotton shirts. Also works on premium
quality blends.
• Run several tests to ensure color and design fastness.
• Polyester printed on DTG printers can be done but the process is more complicated.
• Pretreatment is very important step in DTG printing recommend to make trials to achieve the desire color look.
• Recommend to only use light resolution image.
• Temperature control is very critical to avoid bleeding.
• Polyester-rich fabrics, such as those used in Festival and Ideal, should be cured at a lower temperature,
not exceeding 300 degrees.
